All of our Sections (Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts) are run by a team of volunteer Leaders. They plan, organise and run the weekly programme for their respective Young People. No previous experience with young people? No problem.
We are currently seeking new Beaver, Cub and Scout Leaders across the Group. If you're keen to get your child into the Group, fill up a weekday evening, try new things, or just broaden your horizons then let us know! Equally if you've no idea what we do and want to come along to a meeting and find out if it's for you, please get in touch!
Whether you'd like to help out week-after-week or whenever-you-can, we provide training, learning opportunities and cups of tea – every step of the way. Whatever your background, identity or ability, there’s a volunteer spot with your name on it.
Our Section Leader Teams work together to:
Welcome young people and families to sessions and events
Make sure everyone's safe, supported, included and having fun
Help to plan and lead activities
Get involved with days out, camps and expeditions
Share and learn skills – from coding to cake decorating to canoeing
Celebrate young people's achievements big and small
Together, Trustees make sure the charity is well managed, risks are assessed and mitigated, buildings and equipment are in good working order, and everyone follows legal requirements and Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR). Their support helps other volunteers run a fantastic programme that gives young people skills for life (and experiences they’ll remember forever).
